Primary Care and Internal Medicine

Our primary care and family care providers are qualified specialists who are board-certified in family care or internal medicine. Many have cared for patients in the area for over 25 years. In addition to their extraordinary medical knowledge, our providers are attentive listeners to patients’ concerns, are nonjudgmental, and have positive attitudes that are essential in developing strong provider-patient relationships.

Why do you need a primary care provider?

Patients who see a primary care provider are generally healthier than those who do not, as our providers are able to familiarize themselves with your unique and changing health needs, providing a continuity of care. They dedicate their time to their patients and will refer you to expert specialists in any discipline when needed; their primary concern is your care.

York Hospital owns several primary care, family care, and specialty care practices located throughout Southern Maine. There are also many providers who practice in our community and care for patients at York Hospital but are not employed by York Hospital. These providers may be found in our provider directory.
